The trailer of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Roll No. 1’ has been released ahead of its May 15 theatrical release. Directed by Jon Yonjan, the film highlights child psychology, academic pressure, and the emotional struggles faced by students under family and social expectations.

The trailer shows the conflict between a father who wants his son to excel in studies and a child who has different interests and dreams. It also touches on issues like inequality in education, scholarship discrimination, and the pressure created by society’s obsession with rankings and marks.

The film stars Mukun Bhusal, Sushank Mainali, Renu Yogi, and Sirjana Adhikari, alongside child actors Nirvik Regmi, Rinchen Lama, Sanyam Katuwal, and Sijal Shrestha.

Produced by Binod Poudel and Janvi Poudel, ‘Roll No. 1’ will release in Nepal and overseas simultaneously. The film is distributed by Rich Entertainment and JM Cinema.
