The upcoming Nepali film ‘Roll No. 1’ has released its new song titled ‘Myagdi Rumale’, adding a folk flavor to the movie’s promotional campaign ahead of its release on Jeth 15.
The song blends romance, humor, and traditional Nepali folk style. It features vocals by Prashant Siwakoti and Shanti Shree Pariyar, two singers well known for their strong presence in modern Nepali folk music.
The lyrics are written by Sushma Sigdel, while the music composition is by Prashant Siwakoti himself. Additional vocal support has been provided by Suraj Tamang, Bikash Limbu, Divesh Rai, Deepa Suhang, Apsu Yogi, and Manma B Rai.
The song follows a playful question-and-answer format between a young man and woman. The male character expresses his love and dreams of spending life together, while the female character responds carefully, asking him not to rush into love. The music video features Binod Neupane and Juna Bishwakarma, with choreography handled by Mausam Himali. The visuals carry a rural charm that matches the tone of the song.
Directed by Jaun Yonjan, ‘Roll No. 1’ focuses on student psychology and the impact of the current education system on children’s mental and emotional growth (Watch Trailer Here). According to the production team, the film explores how academic pressure and social expectations can shape a child’s future.
The movie stars Mukun Bhusal, Sushank Mainali, Renu Yogi, and Sirjana Adhikari in lead roles. Child actors include Nirvik Regmi, Rinchen Lama, Sanyam Katuwal, and Sijal Shrestha.
The film has been shot across the scenic and rural areas of Myagdi district, giving it a natural and grounded visual appeal.
Produced by Binod Paudel and Janvi Paudel, the film is scheduled for simultaneous release in Nepal and abroad.
