Ashirwad B Chhetri and Prashamsha Rayamajhi share a wedding celebration in “Jale Rumal,” the newly released song from Chiranjibi Bhawa. Also titled “Ke Ta Maya,” the folk-inspired dance number combines playful dohori exchanges with a family gathering, offering a glimpse of the relationships at the heart of the film.
Rachana Rimal, Ram Chandra Kafle and Babul Giri have sung the track. Director Deepak Prasad Acharya wrote the lyrics, while Giri handled the composition, arrangement, mixing and mastering.
The song follows a question-and-answer format between a young man and woman. Its conversational lyrics and recurring refrain suit the wedding setting, with the exchanges keeping the mood light and festive.
Choreographed by Gamvir Bista, the video brings several of the film’s characters together around Ashirwad and Prashamsha’s wedding sequence. Alongside the dancing and celebrations, it introduces the family connections between them.
The mood shifts in the closing moments, when an unexpected incident interrupts the festivities. That brief turn adds suspense to the video and leaves viewers wondering how the celebration connects to the film’s wider story.
Chiranjibi Bhawa features Hari Bansha Acharya as “Chiranjibi Baje,” alongside lead actors Ashirwad B Chhetri and Prashamsha Rayamajhi. The cast also includes Karishma Manandhar, Mishri Thapa, Kamalmani Nepal, Abhay Baral, Suman Karki, Suwarna Thapa, Saroj Aryal, Harish Niraula, Geeta Adhikari and Sushmita Kunwar.
Directed by Deepak Prasad Acharya “Kaku,” the social drama centres on relationships and differences in thinking between two generations. Kumar Kattel developed the story, with writing by Sabin Adhikari and Basanta Neupane. Umesh Kumar Baral and Chiran KC are the producers.
Chiranjibi Bhawa is scheduled for release on January 15, 2027, coinciding with Magh 1 and Maghe Sankranti.
