Sustainable luxury designer Sanyukta Shrestha unveiled her Spring-Summer 2026 collection “The Newars 1901” at London Fashion Week, hosted in the historic 1901 Ballroom at Andaz London.
The collection beautifully blends Newar culture of Kathmandu with Victorian elegance, featuring dramatic silhouettes, hand embroidered couture, and accessories crafted with artisanal detail. Staying true to her ethos of sustainability and ethical fashion, Shrestha used materials like organic cotton, bamboo, hemp, nettle, mango, and biodegradable fruit leathers, all produced in partnership with Fair Trade artisan communities in Nepal.
From the Kumari Gown to the Ranjana Coat, the showcase stood as a declaration of identity, heritage, and slow fashion. Watch the full video here and experience how Nepali artistry lit up the global runway at London Fashion Week.
