Teaser of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Shivansh – Chapter 1’ is out—and it arrives with mystery, mood, and a strong spiritual punch.
Released on YouTube on Monday, the short teaser opens with a powerful line: “The beginning is the end, and the end is Shivansh.” In just a few seconds, it sets a dark and curious tone. Actor Prabin Khatiwada appears as a saint-like figure, holding a trident and walking towards a temple. The teaser ends quietly, leaving more questions than answers.
With its intense voiceover, rich colors, sharp visuals, and minimal dialogue, the teaser builds intrigue without revealing the story. The makers have kept the plot under wraps, and the teaser clearly hints at suspense rooted in mythology.
Inspired by the legend of Samundra Manthan, the film connects Lord Shiva’s act of consuming the deadly poison Halahala to a present-day mystery in the age of Kaliyuga, raising one key question: will this divine power become a curse or a blessing?
Directed by Santosh Kumar Atreya, Shivansh marks his debut as a director. The film is produced by Anjan KC under the banner of Anjan Cinema Production House. Alongside Khatiwada, the film stars Tej Giri, Rusha Neupane, Bikash Joshi, and many others.
The film is set for release on February 13, timed with the auspicious occasion of Mahashivaratri. Distribution will be handled by Digital Cinema Nepal (DCN).
