Singer and composer Prakash Silwal has released his new romantic song ‘Parijat’, accompanied by a music video featuring actors Gaurav Bista and Khusi Karki in the lead roles.
Built around the emotions of one-sided love, the music video follows Gaurav’s character as he falls for Khusi and begins changing himself for the person he loves. His quiet affection, patience and emotional journey form the heart of the story, leaving viewers to discover whether his long wait ultimately leads to love.
Produced by Shan Basnyat, the video presents the romantic storyline in a simple and heartfelt manner. Basnyat has also written the story and screenplay for the music video.
Written by Asmita Ruchal, ‘Parijat’ features vocals and music by Prakash Silwal himself. According to the singer, the song explores the emotional impact of love and the changes a person may make when deeply attracted to someone.
“This song is romantic and simple. We have presented the unspoken emotions of a boy along with the changes he brings in himself for the person he likes. We are confident that people who are in love will connect with it,” Silwal said. He added that the video has been created to complement the mood and emotion of the song.
Gaurav Bista plays the lover at the centre of the story. The actor said he tried to bring the character to life by staying close to the song’s lyrics, vocal emotions and the narrative created for the video. “I have tried to make the character created through the lyrics, singing emotion and the producer’s story feel alive. My character is dedicated to a one-sided lover who can change himself for love, wait for it, and find peace in the happiness of the person he loves,” Bista said.
Produced under Ghampani Pictures Production, the music video also features Sahayog Adhikari, Binod Poudel, Geeta Shree, Bishal Lama (Chari), Yubak Lama (Ghaite), Kamala Rai, Krisha Shrestha, Sushma Tamang, Dev Neupane and Sujata Timalsina, among others.
The video is directed by Pranav KC, with Sangam Rai serving as director of photography. The technical team includes stylist Anjali Rijal, makeup artist Jyoti KC, hair stylist Aliza Sijawal and sound by Dev Neupane.
Its romantic theme, emotional storytelling and focus on unspoken affection, ‘Parijat’ presents a story likely to resonate with audiences familiar with the experience of loving someone from a distance.
