The official teaser of Nikhil Upreti’s ‘Acharya’ has arrived, putting the Nepali action star back where fans know him best — in the middle of explosive fights and daring stunt sequences.
The video offers an action-heavy look at Upreti in several different avatars, while also teasing emotional conflict and a darker battle at the heart of the story. The Sanskrit inscription seen on his character and the teaser’s confrontational imagery hint at a fight against injustice, although the full storyline remains under wraps.
Acharya marks Upreti’s return to direction more than a decade after ‘Bhairav’ (2015) and is his second film as director. He also writes and leads the film.
The cast includes Purnika Sijapati, who makes her acting debut, alongside Pramod Agrahari, Kameshwor Chaurasia, Raghu Babu, Raghu Karumanchi, Deep Raj Rana and other Nepali and Indian actors.
Produced by Krishna Bhattarai under the Nikhil Upreti Productions banner, the film features action direction by Shukraraj Shah. Sandesh Shah has created the teaser and upcoming trailer.
The full Acharya trailer is scheduled for Asoj 1, while the film will open in cinemas on Asoj 9 / September 25, 2026.
