Jadau Nepali Movie Trailer Explores Inter-Caste Relationships
Romance turns tense, emotions run high and social barriers quickly come into focus in the newly released trailer of Jadau. Without revealing too much of the central plot, the video teases a story where love collides with caste-based discrimination, family pressure and deeper social conflict.
Directed by Anjan Sharma and Kaji Limbu, the roughly two-and-a-quarter-minute trailer moves between lighter romantic moments, humour and emotionally charged confrontations. Its biggest strength is the way it introduces the film’s central theme while still keeping the main storyline largely under wraps.
The trailer highlights the complications surrounding inter-caste relationships and the discrimination that continues to affect people within society. The makers have positioned Jadau as an entertaining social drama with a message.
Written by Kaji Limbu, the film stars Mukun Bhusal, Niti Shah, Prabhat Pal Thakuri, Reecha Sharma, Geeta Adhikari, Naresh Poudyal, Rajshree Thapa, Binod Neupane, Khadga Bahadur Pun (Khabapu), Sundar Dhital, Sandhya Shrestha and Sumitra Devkota, among others.
Jadau is scheduled for nationwide theatrical release on Asoj 9.
