The official trailer of the upcoming Nepali film Changul has been released, putting the Gen Z movement and a story of political change at the centre of its narrative.

the trailer presents a politically charged backdrop while highlighting youth participation, sacrifice and the demand for change. The film appears to explore the circumstances surrounding the Gen Z movement and the wider social and political environment connected to it.

With its latest trailer, Changul continues a promotional campaign closely linked with the movement. The film’s teaser was unveiled a few days earlier from the stage of a Gen Z memorial gathering.

Directed by Ram Gautam and produced by Malati Karki, Changul is scheduled to release on Ashoj 16, 2083, corresponding to October 2, 2026.

The production team has also connected the film’s release with social support initiatives. The makers have announced that a portion of the film’s profits will be provided to injured members of Gen Z Nepal. The team has also said that part of the proceeds will be allocated to support flood-affected communities.

The film features Ravi Karki, Laya Sangraula, Laxminath Timilsina, Rakesh Kumar Rai, Asha Bishwakarma, Swastika Lamichhane, Krishna Rasal and Rohit Dhungana. Child artist Rimsha Karki also appears in the film.

The music for Changul has been composed by Bipin Acharya, Nandani Adhikari and Bikram Karki. Dev Maharjan has handled the action direction, while Dipen Basnyat is responsible for cinematography and editing.

With the trailer now out, Changul is positioning its contemporary political and social storyline as a central element ahead of its theatrical release.
