‘Baa: Ek Yoddha’ Teaser Promises a Moving Story of a Father’s Sacrifice
The official teaser of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Baa: Ek Yoddha’ has been released, offering an emotional glimpse into a family torn apart by tragedy.
The teaser opens with the line, “We had a small world of our own. Everything was destroyed.” Divya Dev Pant is then seen returning home covered in blood, suggesting that he has survived a major incident.
As he stands outside the house, memories of his once-happy family begin to unfold. The mood quickly changes as a daughter runs while calling for her father, villagers panic, and family members appear terrified.
Another emotional moment comes with the dialogue, “Today is Father’s Day, but one father could not see his son’s face.” The teaser also features Jharana Thapa and Suhana Thapa in tears, further deepening the mystery surrounding the family’s loss.
Without revealing the cause of the tragedy, the teaser promises an emotional story of fatherhood, sacrifice, family bonds and loss.
The film stars Divya Dev Pant, Jharana Thapa, Suhana Thapa, Maotse Gurung, Anil Budhathoki, Sagar Khanal, Shishir Siwakoti, Supragya Sharma and Shavi Thapa.
Written and directed by Hari Lamsal, ‘Baa: Ek Yoddha’ marks his feature directorial debut. The film is produced by Basanta Lamsal under the banner of Artistic Entertainment, with cinematography by Shivaram Shrestha.
The film is scheduled to release on Bhadra 19, ahead of Kushe Aunsi, celebrated as Father’s Day in Nepal.
