The trailer for the highly-anticipated film Selfiee has been released, featuring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi in the lead roles for the first time. The film is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam language comedy-drama, Driving Licence.

The trailer for the highly anticipated film Selfiee starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi, has finally been released. The action-drama, which also features Nushratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty, is directed by Raj Mehta, the mastermind behind the hit film Good Newwz. The film is set to hit theaters on February 24th.

The trailer begins by introducing the audience to superstar Vijay, portrayed by Akshay Kumar, as he is seen performing dangerous stunts alongside his female co-star, played by Mrunal Thakur. The three-minute trailer then delves deeper into the story, introducing Emraan Hashmi as Om Prakash, a dedicated cop and die-hard fan of Vijay.

The character of Om Prakash is desperate to fulfill his son’s wish of taking a selfie with Vijay and comes up with a crazy plan to do so, summoning the superstar to the RTO at 7 in the morning to get him a driving license. However, this plan does not go well with the actor, leading to a confrontation between the fan and his idol.

The trailer promises to be a thrilling ride, filled with action-packed sequences, dramatic moments, emotional breakdowns, and a sprinkle of comedy. The song “Main Khiladi Tu Anari” playing in the background might evoke a sense of nostalgia among some viewers. The female characters, however, do not have much to do as far as the trailer goes.

Selfiee is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam-language comedy-drama Driving Licence, which was directed by Lal Jr and written by Sachy.

The film has been co-produced by a team of prominent industry figures, including Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Supriya Menon, Karan Johar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Apoorva Mehta, and Listin Stephen. The film is written by Rishhabh Sharrma and is produced by Dharma Productions, Kumar’s Cape of Good Films, Sukumaran’s Prithviraj Productions, and Magic Frames.
