Father and Son, Biraj and Samir Come Face to Face in Mysterious ‘12 Gaun 2’ Teaser
Is ‘12 Gaun 2’ really setting up a showdown between Biraj Bhatt and Samir Bhatt? That is the biggest question left by the film’s newly released action-packed teaser.
The 1-minute-49-second teaser puts Biraj and Samir firmly at the centre, surrounding them with gunfire, fights and powerful action sequences while revealing almost nothing about their actual relationship in the story.
The mystery deepens in the final moments when the two are shown facing each other with guns. A voiceover says that when two powers come face to face, the final decision comes with the end of one of them.
Naturally, the scene has sparked speculation that the real-life father and son could be playing characters on opposing sides. But the teaser never confirms it.
Samir is also shown in a commanding, don-like avatar, while Anoop Bikram Shahi appears only briefly despite being associated with the film’s villainous side. Debut actresses Kafiya (Krishu Shahi) and Barsha Itani are also kept largely out of the teaser’s spotlight.
That appears to be the strategy: reveal the scale of the action, but keep the real conflict hidden.
Directed by Biraj Bhatt and produced by Saraswati Bhatt, 12 Gaun 2 is written by Santosh Sarkar and is scheduled to hit cinemas on Asoj 30 / October 16, 2026 during the Dashain season.
